Jamaica seeks to improve its standing on international ICT indices by delivering improved government service, value-for money, reduction in the cost of service and maximizing efficiencies within the technology sector.
Jamaica ranks number one in E-government in the Caribbean (World Bank) Jamaica encourages the increased development of e-commerce business and business to consumer operations, and calls for SMEs and NGOs to take greater advantage of ICT for strategic and operational efficiencies. Jamaica is creating a national ICT policy and legal framework to entice investments in the ICT sector.  This supports the country’s vision to sustain a globally competitive ICT sector that is widely accessible and makes the greatest possible contribution to the social and economic development of Jamaica.
